Well the first of what we hope to be
many successive architecture races is in the books. On a windy and
chilly Saturday morning in April, participants gathered in
Millennium Park preparing to take on Chicago's renown streetscapes
and world class architecture. The runners traversed the city from
the Gold Coast to Chinatown sketching. building models and
photographing some of Chicago's most significant works of
architecture! The race concluded at Buckingham Fountain where the
two final teams had to do several laps around the fountain's
perimeter. The race took just over 3 hours and concluded in a sprint
to the fountain where Nick and Ross from students South Carolina
outpaced local architects Erik and Matt for the Amazing Architecture
Race victory!
